Sassa will distribute the main social grants into the 7th of February, using a staggered approach in order to manage queues at pay points and banks. Older Persons Grants are to be paid on Tuesday, 3 February 2026. These are followed by Disability Grants on Wednesday, 4 February 2026, and Children’s Grants, which include Child Support lastly on Thursday, 5 February 2026. Beneficiaries are advised that the payments are issued on these fixed dates but remain available to them in their accounts even after the due date; there is therefore no need to rush to cash out money immediately.
These fixed payment dates are for most SASSA grants paid on a monthly basis and within the normal payment cycle for their 2025/26 financial year. They are well-designed to ensure smooth distribution, without making centres too crowded, throughout the grant-distribution cycle at pay points and ATMs.
Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Payments
In terms of the mainstream grant payments, the SRD R370 (Social Relief of Distress Grant), by itself, has a separate payment schedule somewhere slightly later in the month-as such, the processing of payments for February 2026 should take place around 24 February to the first week of March, given the completion of income verification and identity verification by individual applicants. Applicants are encouraged to visit the online SRD status page to verify a more precise date of receipt of payment.
What Beneficiaries Must Do Before Getting Paid
SASSA is advising beneficiaries to verify well in advance that their banking details and personal information are current before the payment dates. Any changes in bank account details have to be made by the 19th of the month in order to be caught within the next cycle. To make the change, one has to pay a visit to a SASSA office with legit identification and bank confirmation documents.
With CDAC payouts scheduled for 2005, grant beneficiaries are sure to have their finances well planned in the month ahead; although, reimbursements vary from state to state, grant money usually follows a widespread pattern.
